Ken Staninger has had a long history in football. He played college ball for Colorado State University while earning a Business Marketing Degree. After graduation, Ken returned to his hometown in Missoula Montana, where he entered the real estate business. During the next 5 years he was a radio and TV broadcaster and annually voted for the Heismann Trophy recipient. In 1979, Ken made a commitment to bring integrity and hard work to the representation industry and formulated Staninger Sports Agency. His first client, Guy Bingham, who played for the relatively unknown University of Montana, was drafted in the 10th Round by the New York Jets and enjoyed a glorious NFL career for 14 years. Though Bingham has since retired from the NFL, their relationship continues to this day as business partners in a local business. Since then, Ken has gone on to represent numerous other players over the past 3 decades, including Superbowl MVP, Mark Rypien.
Now, with Stinger Sports Group, Ken continues to oversee the business from his office in Missoula, Montana. He has enlisted the talents of 2 additions to the Stinger Team - his son Brett Staninger, a former UNR/Montana quarterback; and former NFL player, Abdul Noah. These 2 outstanding young men are great additions to the personal services Stinger Sports Group offers.
Each year, we continue to limit the number of players we represent, insuring that we will have time to work closely with each player, something vitually unheard of in today's world of player representatives.
